Caliterra, the most innovative Chilean winery 2009

The Wine Innovation Awards were launched in 2009 by The Drinks Business magazine to recognize and reward creativeness in wine. The awards were established to highlight the work of those brand owners and winemakers who are innovating and making top-quality wines and give the winners the opportunity to show how they are changing the face of modern winemaking. The jury was composed by UK`s most prestigious professionals of the wine industry, including wine buyers from Tesco, Waitrose and Marks & Spencer.

In this first version of the Wine Innovation Awards only three gold medals were granted, being France the only creditor of them. Chile received two silver and three bronze medals, out of which Caliterra, was awarded a silver for Caliterra Tributo Edición Limitada Carmenere – Malbec 2006 and a bronze medal for Caliterra Tributo Edición Limitada Syrah – Cabernet Sauvignon – Viogner 2006. The recognitions obtained at the Wine Innovation Awards demonstrate that the Caliterra Tributo Edición Limitada range is an accurate reflection of innovative spirit and exceptional quality of these unique and distinctive blends.

With these results, Caliterra became the Chilean winery with the best results in the Wine Innovation Awards.
