Wines that are deeply related to the earth, with natural aromas and flavours that integrate organic agriculture with sustainable viticulture.
Caliterra presented Bio-Sur, the new series of wines crafted from organically grown grapes cultivated in the vineyards located in the Colchagua Valley. Bio-Sur wines use only natural products for their elaboration and are developed under the sustainable management program that has distinguished Caliterra from the rest of the Chilean viticulture.
Regarding sustainable development, Caliterra works in an environmentally friendly manner, in harmony with nature and the community of the Colchagua Valley in order to assure that future generations will enjoy our ecology in a better way than we do today.
Sergio Cuadra, Caliterra’s chief winemaker comments: “Our Bio-Sur wines are the natural expression of our holistic approach to winemaking, that integrates our sustainable philosophy with organic practices, stimulates biodiversity to unify the vineyard, people and living beings in harmony and deliver wines with a profound relationship with the earth, air and nature.
One of Caliterra’s essential values is to offer the best quality wines while encouraging sustainable development. For this reason, Bio-Sur is our natural proposal that reflects our deepest convictions of respect for the environment. From an oenological point of view, each of our Bio-Sur varieties are directly integrated to the exuberant biodiversity present in the soil and air of the vineyards located in the Colchagua Valley. Just as the name Bio-Sur reflects, we are delivering wines full of life to the world that are crafted from organically grown grapes cultivated naturally in this southern viticultural paradise called Chile.”
