I later went to the University of Chile, where I earned my degree in Agricultural Engineering with a specialty in Enology in 2005. In January of the same year I began my Master’s degree in Montpellier, France with a brief period in the University of Bordeaux. During that same time I also erned the ltitle of Enologist from the OIV (Diplome National d’ Oenologie). Upon returning to Chile in early 2007, I began working at Viña ERrázuriz, where I was an assistant winemaker for the next three seasons. From November 2009 to August 2011 I was in charge of the El Descanso facility, where I was the chief winemaker in charge of the company’s white wines.”

“All of my international winemaking experience has been in France, where I worked two crushes with Michel Laroche (2004 and 2005) and another complete season in VPE (Vignerons du pays d’Ensérune) in 2006.”

With excellent French and English, Rodrigo joins the Caliterra team to contribute his knowledge and experience in making excellent wines under the sustainable philosophy.
