The judges said: “This elegant wine is made from 60% Carménére and 40% Malbec – two minor Bordeaux origin grapes that both do well in Chile. The nose shows prune and blackberry, with dark chocolate, tobacco and well-integrated oak spice. Well balanced with a lush fruit palate tempered by some fine tannin and lively acidity. Very good to excellent length. Would work with mildly spicy sausages or a savoury pork dish. Best 2009 to 2014.”
